Fonadhoo Design and Construction of Seven Harbour Development Project Client : - Ministry of Construction and Public Infrastructure Maldives Contractor : - SENOK Trade Combine (Pvt)Ltd Seven Harbours have been designed by a reputed marine harbour design firm from Denmark called NIRAS. The design of the harbour is completed considering hydrographical and geotechnical data as well as bathymetry and wind wave details of the region. Dredging of Harbour basin is three meters below mean sea level to facilitate entry of large fishing boats and Quay wall jetty was completed with a capping beam embedded with mooring hooks. Breakwa ter was constructed using armour rocks of height 2.1 to 2.2 meters of mean sea level and crest width of 1.6 to 1.9 meters as protection from adverse weather conditions. Entrance channel is 23 meters wide with single entry with a minimum draft of 3.5 meters below mean sea level connecting the dredged basin and deeper sea.
