SRPSKA POREKLOPISNA KNJIGA ZA KONJE ENGLESKE PUNOKRVNE RASE I KNJIGA (2001 – 2005) SERBIAN THOROUGHBRED STUD BOOK VOLUME 1 (2001 – 2005) Beograd, 2008. Konjarstvo i konjički sport u Srbiji imaju dugu tradiciju, a konji kao plemenite i čoveku korisne životinje, pratile su sudbinu našeg naroda kroz sve istorijske etape i procese. Odgoj konja i konjička takmičenja, pre svega konja engleske punokrvne rase, imaju bogatu istoriju u Srbiji. Činom medjunarodnog priznanja priznanja Srpske poreklopisne knjige za konje engleske punokrvne rase učinjen je istorijski iskorak za konjarstvo i konjički sport u Srbiji i dat snažan podstek daljem razvoju. Ovaj uspeh je postignut zahvaljujući vrednom radu Komisije za Stud Book Konjičkog saveza Srbije koju su činili: dr Dragiša Trailović, Siniša Zlatanović, Dušan Gluvić, dr Imre Boroš, Miloš Stanić i Nataša Pavlović i svima njima odajem zasluženo priznanje. Posebnu zahvalnost dugujemo dr Rolandu Devolzu, Ko-Predsedniku Međunarodnog Stud Book Komiteta koji je svojim bogatim iskustvom nemerljivo doprineo ovom, za naše konjarstvo, istorijskom poduhvatu. Dragan Satarić, dipl. ing. predsednik Konjičkog Saveza Srbije Horse breeding and horsemanship sport have long tradition in Serbia, and horses, as noble and useful animals, shared the destiny of our people during all historical stages and processes. Horse breeding and horsemanship competitions, above all Thoroughbread horses, have a rich history in Serbia. Approval of Serbian Thoroughbred Stud Book have made historical step in horse breeding and horsemanship sport in Serbia and gave strong stimulus in further development. This success have been achieved due to diligent work of members of Horsemaship assosiation’s Stud Book Commission: dr Dragiša Trailović, Siniša Zlatanović, Dušan Gluvić, dr Imre Boroš, Miloš Stanić and Nataša Pavlović, and I show my credit to all of them. Special gratitude we owe to dr Roland Devolz, Co-Charimen of International Stud Book Committee, who immeasurably contributed by his abundant experience to this historical project for our horsemanship. FOREWORD Serbia appeared as an independent, internationally accepted state in 1878, on Berlin Congress. After World War I, in 1918, Serbia becomes the part of Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenians, which consisted of previously independent states Serbia and Montenegro and parts of Balkan peninsula inhabited by slavonic peoples. In 1929, the country was renamed in Kingdom of Yugoslavia. After World War II, up to disintegration in 1992, the name of the country was Socialist Federal Republic Yugoslavia. Serbia becomes independent again in 2006. First imports of Thoroughbred horses to Serbia have been registered in 1861, when 2 stallions, King Charles and Sir Tatton, were imported from Austria. In 1888, Horsemanship organization “Knez Mihailo” has been founded as a Turf Authority. Three more stallions have been imported from Austria in 1893, and in 1894 three mares from Slovakia, both countries at the time being parts of Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. Stud Book Commission was formed in 1923 by the decree of Ministry of Agriculture and Water Economy of Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenians, to collect and systematize data on breeding of Thoroughbred horses. The Commission established Rules and regulations for keeping Stud Book and appropriate forms. The Volume I of Yugoslav Stud Book, for the period 1918-1925, was published in 1926. Stud Book Commission published in 1935 the Volume II for the period up to 1935. In 1940 the Volume III was published, encompassing the period from 1893 up to 1940. All the three volumes have been published in Serbian and France language. With gradual extinguish of Horseman Company “Knez Mihailo”, Ministry of Agriculture, Department of horse breeding, and Ministry of sport of Serbia supported establishing, in 1947, Horsemanship Association of Serbia (Konjicki Savez Srbije – KSS) as legal successor of Horseman Company “Knez Mihailo”. The purpose of establishing Horsemanship Association of Serbia was development and promotion of horse racing and breeding in Serbia. Horsemanship Association of Serbia interceded in development and promotion of existing stud farms, in establishing equestrian clubs and cooperatives, with the intention that they would be managed by veterinarians, agronomists, livestock breeders and other specialists. Horsemanship Association of Serbia consists of Gallop Association of Serbia, Trotters Association of Serbia, Association of Lipizzaner breeders of Serbia (member of L. I. F.), Association of sport veterinarians of Serbia, Association of horsemanship referees of Serbia, stud farms and horse racing organizers. Horsemanship Association of Serbia is managed by president elected by Assembly. Assembly elects members of the Administrative Board (11 members) and Supervisory Board (3 members). Administrative Board, as an executive agency of Assembly, elects commissions, Stud Book Commission (5 members and secretary), Disciplinary Commission (3 members and 3 deputies). Horsemanship Association of Serbia is in charge of certifying Rules and Conditions of racing as well as other equestrian activities such as carriage driving and endurance riding. Stud Book Commission published Volume IV of Yugoslav Stud Book in 1970 for the period 1941 - 1960, Volume V in 1976 for the period 1961 - 1975, Volume VI in 1987 for the period 1976 - 1986 and Volume VII of Yugoslav Stud Book in 2002 for the period 1987 - 2000. Konjički savez Srbije sačinjavaju Udruženje za galopski sport Srbije, Udruženje kasača Srbije, Udruženje odgajivača Lipicanera Srbije (član L.I.F.), Udruženje sportskih veterinara Srbije, Udruženje konjičkih sudija Srbije, ergele i organizatori konjičkih trka. Konjičkim savezom Srbije rukovodi Predsednik kojeg bira Skupština. Skupština bira članove Upravnog odbora (11 članova) i Nadzornog odbora (3 člana). - 2000. godine. 3 PRAVILA I ZAHTEVI SRPSKE POREKLOPISNE KNJIGE ZA GRLA ENGLESKE PUNOKRVNE RASE 1.
