Status: Completed Quarterly Mobility Report | Wednesday, June 16, 2021 9 Challenger Court Coles Magisterial District Purpose: Construct an access road on Planet Direct Access Road Updates: Base asphalt placement is complete, and paving is substantially complete and open to traffic. Construction completed May 2021. This is the last report for this project. Status: Completed NTP for construction– November 2020 Construction ended – May 2021 Project Budget: $2,200,000 Project Funding: Local Quarterly Mobility Report | Wednesday, June 16, 2021 10 Saratoga Lane Coles Magisterial District Purpose: Construct sidewalk improvements Updates: Project substantially completed in April and awaiting final acceptance by VDOT. This is the last report for this project. Status: Completed Design began – October 2019 Design ended – February 2020 Construction began – January 2021 Construction ended – April 2021 Project Budget: $475,000 Project Funding: Local Quarterly Mobility Report | Wednesday, June 16, 2021 11 Smoketown Road/Opitz Boulevard Pedestrian Improvements Neabsco and Occoquan Magisterial Districts Purpose: Reconstruction of ADA ramps and crosswalk at the intersection of Smoketown Road and Opitz Boulevard Updates: Construction was completed on January 22, 2021. The project was completed within schedule and under budget. This is the last report for this project. Status: Completed Construction began – Spring 2020 Construction ended – January 2021 Project Budget: $1,011,391 Project Funding: Federal and Local Quarterly Mobility Report | Wednesday, June 16, 2021 12 Opitz Boulevard Sidewalk Project Woodbridge Magisterial District Purpose: Construct a sidewalk from Potomac Library to Potomac Center Boulevard Updates: Construction was completed on October 1, 2020. This is the last report for this project. Status: Completed Construction began – Spring 2020 Construction ended – October 2020 Project Budget: $1,500,684 Project Funding: Federal and Local Quarterly Mobility Report | Wednesday, June 16, 2021 13 Route 1/123 Interchange Woodbridge Magisterial District Purpose: Six lane widening on Route 1 from Annapolis Way to Mary’s Way Updates: Construction completed (Phase I) – November 2020. Widening project completed. Ribbon Cutting was held on April 12, 2021. This is the last report for this project. Status: Completed Phase I- Phase I construction is complete. Property acquisition due diligence underway. Ongoing coordination with Norfolk Southern Railway, Prince William County, Manassas Regional Airport, City of Manassas, FTA and FAA. Final design RFP advertised January 2021 Status: Under Design PE and NEPA complete. Final design begins – 2021. Construction complete – 2025. Related Projects: Route 28, Phase III. VIRGINIA RAILWAY EXPRESS Quarterly Mobility Report | Wednesday, June 16, 2021 16 Intersection Improvements at Prince William Parkway and University Boulevard Purpose: Construct intersection improvements at the intersection of Prince William Parkway and University Boulevard (Quadrant Roadway Intersection) Updates: 100% design plans submitted to VDOT and PWC. Utility relocation and Right-of- Way acquisition is ongoing. Status: Under Design Design began – December 2018 Design ends – April 2021 Construction begins – Spring 2021 Construction ends – Spring 2023 Project Budget: $24,200,000 Project Funding: Regional Quarterly Mobility Report | Wednesday, June 16, 2021 17 Route 28 at Fauquier Drive Brentsville Magisterial District Purpose: Operational Improvements at Fauquier Drive Updates: Awaiting authorization for state forces to begin construction. Extending southbound Route 28 right turn lane and intersection reconfiguration. Status: Under Construction Construction begins – late Summer 2021 Quarterly Mobility Report | Wednesday, June 16, 2021 18 Route 28, Phase III Purpose: Six lane widening of Route 28 from Linton Hall Road to Pennsylvania Avenue Updates: Utility relocations were completed on May 6 ,2021, and water main installation was completed on May 2, 2021. Residency Road Shared Use Path Right-of-Way acquisitions anticipated to be finalized in July 2021. Linton Hall intersection slip ramp was paved in April 2021. Mill and overlay of Nokesville Road began on May 10, 2021, starting at Linton Hall Road and working north. Utility relocation delay on Residency Road has impacted the project schedule. A slight extension maybe requested for the completion of the Residency Trail portion of the project. Status: Under Construction Construction began – July 2019 Construction ends – June 2022 Project Budget: $40,000,000 Project Funding: Regional Quarterly Mobility Report | Wednesday, June 16, 2021 19 University Boulevard Extension Purpose: Construct two lane roadway from Edmonston Drive to Sudley Manor Drive
