MAKERERE UNIVERSITY UNLOCKING THE KNOWLEDGE HUB IN THE HEART OF AFRICA UNLOCKING THE KNOWLEDGE HUB IN THE HEART OF AFRICA 1 STRATEGIC PLAN 2020 - 2030 The previous ten-year Strategic Plan (2007/8- 2017/18, extended to 2019/20) sought to make Makerere a centre of excellence in teaching and learning, research and innovation in Africa. This new Strategic Plan (2020/21-2030/31 seeks to consolidate Makerere’s position as the global knowledge hub at the heart of Africa.
