New Resident Guide Warwick Rhode Island 2016 1 2 INTRODUCTION The Guide to Warwick was researched and compiled by the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce. It is intended to assist newcomers to the City of Warwick whether they be individuals, families or businesses. Warwick is a dynamic, growing city. Location, geography, climate, transportation and a strong economic base, all contribute to make the city one of the northeast’s finest areas in which to live, work, and do business. Warwick’s most important resource, however, is its people. In these pages, you will find listings of community and business organizations. The individuals associated with these groups are the lifeblood of the city. They number in the thousands and their efforts have brought the city national recognition. They represent a diverse cross section of the populous: government, business, labor, human services and others. Their input is an integral and invaluable facet of life in Warwick. Warwick has been designated as one of the top 20 safest cities in the United States. The Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the following organizations for their contributions that made this guide possible. From this distinctive beginning, Rhode Island developed into a modern diversified economy. The job opportunities are as diversified as our culture.
