Skye is from Albuquerque, New Mexico in the United States and we are grateful to the volunteer organisation Time for God for introducing us to her and making the placement possible. The Sixteen Choral Pilgrimage Quiet Days tour comes to Southwell ‘Making Space’ Minster The Association for Promoting Retreats was founded 100 years ago to promote the development of the Christian life through retreats, particularly within the Anglican Communion. To mark the charity’s centenary, three retreat houses across the country will host events using the theme ‘Making Space’, running at exactly the same time, 10am-4pm on the same day 14th September 2013. n 2013 world-renowned choir The Sixteen will present its most Shepherds Dene, Riding Mill, far-reaching Choral Pilgrimage tour yet, encompassing 34 Northumberland led by the Iconcerts around the UK. This spills out into her art work, whether it is in painting, collage, Jassemblage or sculpture the work is always about things found that she is fascinated with. This could be a scrap of a photo, a discarded letter, a story told or a song.
