John oversees aquaculture research projects, collects and analyzes biological, water quality, and engineering data, and reports the findings through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. John has authored numerous science-based articles focused on fish production in recirculation aquaculture systems with specific topics including: water quality, sustainable diets, salmonid product quality, off-flavor, ozone, and the effects of accumulating nitrate on salmonids, among others.
