“2NM/Power FM Footy Tipping Comp” TERMS & CONDITIONS LTPS/14/01066 The following terms and conditions apply to 2NM/POWER FM’s footy tipping promotion “Take on Timmo”. These terms and conditions apply in conjunction with 2NM/POWER FM’s General Terms and Conditions. Where there is any inconsistency, these terms and conditions will prevail. Both these terms and conditions and the 2NM/POWER FM General Terms and Conditions can be collected at the 2NM/POWER FM reception desk at 100 Bridge Street, Muswellbrook and can be downloaded from the website at either 2nm.com.au or powerfm.com.au/hunter. 1.0 DURATION Pre promote: Monday 17th February until Thursday 6th March 2014. Listeners will be directed to register in the ‘2NM/Power FM Tipping Comp’. The 2014 NRL Telstra Premiership begins on Thursday 6th March. Active: from Thursday 6th March 2014 until 10 minutes prior to the final match in round 26 of the NRL on Thursday 4th September 2014. 2.0 METHOD OF ENTRY, To enter, entrants must complete the competition registration form on the 2NM/POWER FM Tipping Competition website, www.2nm.com.au/www.powerfm.com.au/hunter To be eligible to be in the tipping comp participants must register their first name, last name, age, gender, phone number, suburb and email address and read these conditions and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Entrants must select a valid username and password at the time of registration. Entrants must enter their username and password each time they access the Tipping Competition section of the 2NM/Power FM website. Entrants must select both. The competition will contain 26 separate Weeks for entry (“Tipping Weeks”) corresponding to the 26 Weeks of matches of the 2014 NRL Telstra Premiership football season, excluding finals (known as the “Regular Season”). There is a limit of one entry per email address and one entry per person. The Weeks of matches for the Regular Season are set out on the Tipping pages of the 2NM/POWER FM Tipping Competition website. Postponed, rescheduled or delayed matches will have their match times updated during the season to become part of the next appropriate Tipping Week in which the match will be played. The deadline for each Tipping Week (“Deadline”) will be specified in the Tipping Competition section of the 2NM/POWER FM website. Unless otherwise specified, the deadline will be five (10) minutes before the commencement of the first match in each Week. The day following the completion of each Tipping Week of matches, the winner(s)’ name(s) for the corresponding Tipping Week will appear on the Ladder page of the Tipping Competition section of the 2NM/POWER FM website If a tipster joins the ‘2NM/POWER FM Tipping Comp’ after the first round game on Thursday 6th March 2014 they will receive the average total score of all the tipsters for that round. Registrations for tipping will close 10 minutes prior to the final match in round 26 of the NRL on Thursday 4th September. Footy Tips received by mail or personally taken to the 2NM/POWER FM station will not be included in the 2NM/POWER FM Tipping Comp. Entry is open to NSW residents with no minimum age. The 2NM/POWER FM Footy Tipping Comp ‘Take on Timmo’ will also be conducted by; South Coast and Tablelands Broadcasting Pty. Ltd., Wollongong Broadcasters Pty. Ltd., and East Coast Radio Pty. Ltd. with one overall winner of the $5,000 prize for top tipper being chosen from the total pool of entries received for all the stations listed above. 3.0 POINTS ALLOCATION The Tipster will receive: • 1 point for a correct tip selection • 5 points for a correct draw tip selection • 1 Points awarded for a Draw which was not tipped • 0 points for an incorrect tip selection • 2 bonus points if they correctly tip all matches in a week • If a tipster does not submit any tips for the specific weeks round, they will receive the Away Teams with a default predicted winning margin of 49 • Late entry for each round will not be accepted • Maximum number of draws allowed to be tipped for the 2014 NRL season is 26 4.0 PRIZE(S) 4.1 Minor Prize Each week the competition is active. 1 (one) participant/or team of the ‘2NM/POWER FM Footy Tipping Comp’ will be randomly drawn from all the participants for their chance to win $50. The entrant’s name and suburb will be broadcast on 2NM/POWER FM. The winner will then be notified by 2NM/POWER FM to come and collect their prize. $50 cheques MUST be pricked up from the 2NM/POWER FM studios at 100 Bridge St, Muswellbrook 2333. In total: 26 rounds - Prize Value: $1,300 4.2 Major Prize $5,000 will be awarded to the tipster/s who has/have the highest points at the completion of round 26. If there are multiple tipsters with the same top score, the $5000 will be evenly distributed amongst the individuals who have the same highest points. Total Prize Value: $5,000 5.0 USE OF PHOTOS etc. It is a condition of entry that 2NM/POWER FM has the right to publicise the names, characters, likenesses or voices of any contestants for any promotion or matter incidental to the competition. The winner may also be required by 2NM/POWER FM to participate in a photo, video and/or film session and acknowledges that 2NM/POWER FM has the right to use such publicity photos, videos and/or films in any medium (including, without limitation, the internet) and in any reasonable manner it sees fit, unless that person advises 2NM/POWER FM at the time of entering the competition that he/she wishes to retain his/her anonymity. Contestants also acknowledge that their photo may be used for a promotional display at the prize provider’s location. Contestants consent to their telephone and other conversations with 2NM/POWER FM being broadcast on air. 6.0 INDEMNITY All contestants release from, and indemnify Radio Hunter Valley Pty Ltd against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise. 7.0 NOTIFICATION The Major winner will be broadcast on 2NM/POWER FM, as well as contacted via telephone. The cash amounts won will be presented to the winner in cheque form. The winner must collect this cheque at 2NM/POWER FM, 100 Bridge Street Muswellbrook 2333. The cheque cannot be redeemed for cash at 2NM/POWER FM. 8.0 COPYRIGHT By entering this competition all entrants: Consent to Radio Hunter Valley Pty Ltd making copies of the whole or any part of their entry. Grant to Radio Hunter Valley Pty Ltd all present and future copyright and all other rights in their entry in all media (including, without limitation, the internet) and whether in existence now or created in the future Undertake to Radio Hunter Valley Pty Ltd that their entry is not in breach of any third party intellectual property rights. 9.0 GENERAL All prizes are non transferable, and are not redeemable for cash. All decisions and actions of 2NM/POWER FM staff will be exercised according to their absolute discretion. Winners will be required to pick up their prize from the 2NM/POWER FM reception at 100 Bridge St, Muswellbrook 2333. Winners will be responsible for any and all taxes incurred in relation to their receipt of their prize(s). Winners should seek independent financial advice prior to accepting a prize. Employees and their immediate families of 2NM/POWER FM, Radio Hunter Valley Pty Ltd are able to enter the 2NM/Power FM Footy Tipping Comp. Employees and their immediate families of all associated sponsors and participating companies are also able to enter, but all are ineligible to win any of the prize money. If a winner is under the age of 18 years, 2NM/POWER FM reserves the right to award the prize to their parent or legal guardian. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to) technical failures, unauthorised intervention, computer virus, mobile phone failure, tampering, fraud or any other causes beyond the control of Radio Hunter Valley Pty Ltd which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, 2NM/POWER FM reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. 2NM/POWER FM and Radio Hunter Valley Pty Ltd will not be responsible or liable if for any reason beyond their reasonable control any element of any prize is not provided. 2NM/POWER FM may at its absolute discretion substitute a different prize in place of any prize referred to in these terms and conditions, after gaining relevant approval from relevant gaming authorities. All winners of all prizes must sign these terms and conditions and the 2NM/POWER FM General Terms and Conditions both in a form prescribed by Radio Hunter Valley Pty Ltd in order to receive their prize. In the event that a prize winner under the age of 18 years is permitted to accept a prize, these terms and conditions and the 2NM/POWER FM General Terms and Conditions must be signed by their parent or legal guardian. 2NM/POWER FM may, subject to State Regulations, terminate this competition at any time at its absolute discretion without liability to any contestant or other person.
