Previous meetings • Gladbach prevailed 3-1 in the first leg in Berne, two goals in three second-half minutes putting the Foals in charge. • The teams drew 3-3 in a friendly on 13 July, Thorgan Hazard scoring twice for Mönchengladbach. • Young Boys have played 12 UEFA matches against clubs from the 'Big Canton' with the record W2 D5 L5 (W2 D2 L3 at home – W0 D3 L2 in Germany).
