Prohibitions. During his tenure, the Municipal Administrator shall not hold any other appointive governmental office and shall not engage in any other business, occupation or employment without prior written approval of the Mayor. (Proposed language addition underline). AMENDMENT 2 Ordinance 2020 – 3 of the Municipality of Kingston Section 615. Independent Audit. The Council shall provide for an independent annual audit of all municipal revenues and accounts by a certified public accountant who has no personal interest, direct or indirect, in the fiscal affairs of the municipal government or any of its elected or appointed officers. The Council may provide for more frequent audits, as well as special audits, as it deems necessary. The results or the annual audit and the financial statement of the fiscal affairs of the municipality shall be presented to the Council and published in a newspaper circulating generally in the municipality by September 1 following the fiscal year audited. The proposed amendment changes the date of the publication from April 1 to September 1 following the fiscal year audited.
