2020 GENERAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION COUNTY OF LUZERNE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA FOR THE ELECTION TO BE HELD TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2020 IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF AN ACT OF ASSEMBLY KNOWN AS THE PENNSYLVANIA ELECTION CODE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A GENERAL ELECTION WILL BE HELD AT THE REGULAR POLLING PLACES IN THE VARIOUS ELECTION DISTRICTS OF THE COUNTY OF LUZERNE, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2020 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 O’CLOCK AM AND 8:00 O’CLOCK PM, PREVAILING TIME. Prohibitions. During his tenure, the Municipal Administrator shall not hold any other appointive governmental office and shall not engage in any other business, occupation or employment without prior written approval of the Mayor. (Proposed language addition underline). AMENDMENT 2 Ordinance 2020 – 3 of the Municipality of Kingston Section 615. Independent Audit. The Council shall provide for an independent annual audit of all municipal revenues and accounts by a certified public accountant who has no personal interest, direct or indirect, in the fiscal affairs of the municipal government or any of its elected or appointed officers. The Council may provide for more frequent audits, as well as special audits, as it deems necessary. The results or the annual audit and the financial statement of the fiscal affairs of the municipality shall be presented to the Council and published in a newspaper circulating generally in the municipality by September 1 following the fiscal year audited. The proposed amendment changes the date of the publication from April 1 to September 1 following the fiscal year audited. The Amendment also deletes the words: “The same accounting firm shall not be used for more than three consecutive years.” Penn Lake Park Borough PROPOSED QUESTION Resolution #19 of the Borough of Penn Lake Park Borough Ballot Question Shall debt in the sum of up to $3 million dollars for the purpose of constructing and maintaining a dam to control and conserve Penn Lake be authorized to be incurred as debt approved by the electors of the Penn Lake Park Borough? VOTERS WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENT OR DEAF MAY CALL THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS DEVICE (TDD) BY DAILING TOLL FREE: 1-800-233-3008. ANY QUALIFIED ELECTOR WHO IS HANDICAPPED OR ELDERLY (65 OR OLDER) AND ASSIGNED BY HIS OR HER COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS TO AN INACCESSIBLE POLLING PLACE HAS THE RIGHT, UPON ADVANCE REQUEST OF THE ELECTOR, TO CAST AN ALTERNATIVE BALLOT ON OR BEFORE ELECTION DAY.
