We found it a little bit difficult this year as only a few of our members had any plants in flower for us to put on the display but we managed to collect about 30 plants which made a very creditable display and received a few awards. Tina Stagg’s Laelia rubescens won the Laelinae Species and Best Specimen in Show rosettes and Laelia rubescens received a Highly Commended for both her Dendrobium Berry ‘Oda’ and Phalaenopsis amabilis ‘Aphrodite’. Sheila Barnes won the Any Other Species rosette for her Dendrochilum glumaceum and I won the Lycaste and Allied rosette for Lycaste Jason Thank you to everybody that lent us plants. Leon, Reg, Dorothy, Tina, Nick, George, and Sheila. Tina and Richard Stagg, Nick Gilliam, George and Sheila Barnes, Lynda and I stayed for the two days and it was good t see Reg and Muriel Harrison and Trevor Crook who visited on the Sunday and left happy with some new plants. We had a very good weekend, the weather was beautiful and we all met for dinner on the Saturday evening which was very enjoyable. It was good to meet up with all our friends from other societies and look forward to seeing them at the next meeting at EMOS in March. Special thanks to Linda for providing photos and text.
