After Okehampton take the A386 junction signposted Tavistock, Plymouth and Bideford. At the T-junction at the end of the slip road, turn right and then immediately left onto old A30 signposted to Bridestowe and LEWDOWN. After 6 miles you will come into Lewdown and a 40 mile an hour speed limit. Turn left at the signpost for Lewtrenchard. Follow signs for ¾ mile. We are on the left-hand side of the road. DIRECTIONS TO LEWTRENCHARD FROM PLYMOUTH From Plymouth take A386 for Tavistock. From Bedford Square in Tavistock, take small road between TSB and HSBC Bank, sign posted Chillaton and Lifton. About 1 mile out of Tavistock, fork left for Chillaton. Proceed straight through Chillaton, and Lewtrenchard is approximately 3½ miles on the right hand side. DIRECTIONS TO LEWTRENCHARD FROM CORNWALL Join the A30, heading east towards Launceston/Okehampton. As soon as you pass over the River Tamar near Launceston (Dunheved Bridge), take the slip road off to your left sign posted Lifton. Turn right at the end of the slip road on to the old A30. Stay on this road, passing through Lifton and Portgate, until you enter Lewdown (about 6 miles). All within about 200 yards, you will pass the War Memorial on your right, then the village Stores/Post Office. Take the first turning on your right after the Post Office, signposted Lewtrenchard. Descend the hill for ¾ mile and we are on the left. .
