They are based in Montserrado, Bomi, and Bong Counties performing technical, knowledge-sharing, and skills-transfer role with their Liberian counterparts. Farmers and technicians in 9 counties including Bomi, Bong, Gbarpolu, Grand Bassa, Grand Cape Mount, Lofa, Margibi, Montserrado, and Nimba participated. The second phase covers the remaining six counties of Grand Gedeh, Maryland, River Gee, Rivercess, Grand Kru, and Sinoe. Each building was stocked with 500 broilers for meat production and 500 layers for egg production in the first quarter of 2011. Besides, training in poultry production, vaccines application, feeds formulation, and other associated but essential inputs were provided. Project funded by DANIDA.
