10 May 2021 Dear Parent/Guardian Parent View I Am Really Pleased That Your Child Will Be Joining Us Here As a Student at Penwor

10 May 2021 Dear Parent/Guardian Parent View I am really pleased that your child will be joining us here as a student at Penwortham Priory Academy from September 2021. I have started my transition visits into primary schools and will be visiting each school, either virtually or physically before the end of the Summer term to ‘meet’ with your child and their member of staff to discuss their attainment, attendance, and general attributes as a pupil. I will also speak to your child about what happens when they come to Priory and hopefully have a good chat and ease any worries that they may have about moving to secondary school. However, I am also keen to hear your view. If you haven’t yet completed the parent view form that was mentioned in the initial welcome letter, can I please ask that you do this at your earliest convenience. The link can also be found on the website at www.priory.lancs.sch.uk/about-priory/transition Buses I have enclosed information for school transport. The Cottam, Walton-le-dale and the Farington/Leyland bus routes are operated by Priory and therefore place requests for these should be sent to [email protected] by 28 May 2021. Please contact Lancashire County Council for all other bus routes and bus pass enquiries. Summer School Also attached with this letter you will find a leaflet advertising our free Summer School for the week beginning 23 August 2021. This exciting opportunity is open to all incoming Year 7 pupils and we hope that as many pupils as possible attend. Pupils are invited to join us for the whole week ideally, but if this is not possible, then any days they can attend would be of benefit to them and their transition to high school. For more information, please see the leaflet and use the link or scan the QR code to complete the enrolment form. All enrolments need to be completed by Friday, 28 May 2021. I will be in touch with more information and an update about the parents evening and transition day as and when I am able.
