Tourist Arrivals From 1st January 2021 to 21st April 2021, a total of 365,324 tourists arrived in the Maldives. The top source market for the tourist arrival was India with 82,289 arrivals, followed by Russia with 78,847 tourist arrivals. Ukraine stood third with 20,201 tourist arrivals. Other top source markets include Germany, Kazakhstan, USA, United Kingdom, Romania, Czech Republic and France. As of 21st April 2021, the Central/Eastern Europe, South Asia and Africa region surpassed pre-COVID levels, pos�ng above average growth rates of +159.8%, +128.2% and +38.0% respec�vely. Individual markets within the Central/Eastern European region are also performing with outstanding results as new markets emerge from this region and making it to top 10 list. News Highlights Travel Ease to and within the Maldives Effec�ve from 20th April 2021, tourists who have completed 14 days a�er their final dose of the vaccine, will be allowed to enter Maldives without a nega�ve PCR test. Tourist are required to submit their vaccina�on cer�ficate through the Immigra�on’s online portal, IMUGA, prior to their arrival in the Maldives. Under the travel ease policy, resort employees are permi�ed to travel to inhabited islands, 14 days a�er the 2nd dose of COVID19 vaccine, without home quaran�ne, subject to Health Protec�on Agency terms and condi�ons.
