Centre. Three losses from as many games and the resignation of their coach Davor Bajsic has the reigning PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues champions Sydney United 58 on red alert. A visit from the Sutherland Sharks is the next opportunity for the Reds to end their sluggish start to the season minus their skipper Nick Stavroulakis who will serve his one match suspension against his former club. However, the Sharks won’t be giving away any competition points so easily. Sutherland has followed a similar path to United 58 this season with their solid performances failing to equate to wins or competition points. 1ST GRADE - PLAYSTATION 4 NPL NSW MEN’S POS TEAM P W D L F A GD PTS 1 Sydney Olympic FC 3 3 0 0 6 1 5 9 2 APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 3 3 0 0 8 4 4 9 3 Manly United FC 3 2 1 0 9 6 3 7 4 Blacktown City FC 3 2 1 0 6 4 2 7 5 Rockdale City Suns FC 2 2 0 0 4 2 2 6 6 Wollongong Wolves FC 3 1 1 1 5 5 0 4 7 Hakoah Sydney City East FC 3 1 1 1 4 5 -1 4 8 Sydney FC 3 1 0 2 6 5 1 3 9 Sutherland Sharks FC 3 0 0 3 6 9 -3 0 10 Sydney United 58 FC 3 0 0 3 4 7 -3 0 11 Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC 3 0 0 3 5 10 -5 0 12 Parramatta FC 2 0 0 2 3 8 -5 0 5 FIRST GRADE #PS4NPLNSW REVIEWS Hakoah Sydney City East 3 - Sydney United 58 2 at Hensley Athletic Field Hakoah Sydney City East has inflicted more misery on reigning PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues Premiers Sydney United 58 defeating the 10-man Reds 3-2 in a feisty encounter at Hensley Athletic Field. Robert Ezekiel’s free-kick proved to be the winner for Gavin Rae’s side, who had twice seen their lead pegged back by goals from Yutaro Shin and Panny Nikas. Hakoah had earlier opened the scoring through Andre De Jong and cancelled out Shin’s equaliser late in the first half when Alexander Lekoski pounced expertly and finished with aplomb. Sydney United 58 skipper Nick Stavroulakis, who was making his first appearance of the campaign after struggling with a calf injury, received his marching orders midway through the second half for his second bookable offence and the hosts took immediate advantage. The defeat is United 58’s third consecutive and second in four days having been defeated 2-1 by Rockdale City Suns on Wednesday evening. Sutherland Sharks 3 - APIA Leichhardt Tigers 4 at Seymour Shaw APIA Leichhardt Tigers has clung on to a narrow 4-3 win against a fast finishing Sutherland Sharks during their PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s clash at Seymour Shaw. A Sean Symons free-kick, Tasuku Sekiya strike and Corey Biczo double gave the Tigers a 4-0 lead with a little over 20 minutes to play. However, it proved to be a nervy finish for the visitors with a Jeremy Cox goal and a brace to Tomohiro Kajiyama giving Sutherland a sniff of victory late on. It proved to not be the perfect ending to Sutherland Sharks ‘keeper Nathan Denham’s match as APIA held on to win in the shot stoppers’ 200th match. The Tigers now have three wins on the trot and are looking like the team to beat in this season’s competition. 6 HEADINGROUND 3 NPLNSW.COM.AU TEAMSUBHEAD OF THE 01: LARGE USE: OVER 150MM WIDE This logo has a smaller ‘®’ symbol 02: FOOTBALL NSW WOULDSMAL LIKEL USE: TO55MM THANK - 150MM WID THEIRE SPONSORS FOR THEIRThis CONTINUED logo has a larger ‘ ®SUPPORT’ symbol 7 FEATURE STORY #PS4NPLNSW PS4 NPL NSW WOMEN’S After months of hard work on the training pitch, Round 1 Preview the PlayStation® 4 National Premier Leagues NSW Women’s competition finally kicks off this Charles Bean Sportsground will see the new Sunday. girls on the block Northern Tigers entertain the Blacktown Spartans, JJ Kelly Park will Heather Garriock’s Sydney University swept play host to the Illawarra Stingrays taking on all before them last season, taking out the Sydney University.
