In this Fall season they have been highly competitive on the football field and they have achieved a well-earned Big Sky cross country championship. They have given strong performances in women’s volleyball and in club sports—soccer and rugby. It should be an active and exciting Winter season with competition soon to begin in men’s and women’s basketball, swimming, wrestling, skiing, women’s gymnastics, and in club sports—men’s gymnastics and handball. BSU 41, Chico State 7 in Boise In addition, 16 Grizzly seniors complete their football *BSU 40, Montana State 37 at Bozeman eligibility this afternoon. Unfortunately, three seniors, Bob BSU 36, Nevada-Reno 16 in Boise Smith, Eric Manegold and Rock Svennungsen, will not play *BSU 61, Idaho State 3 in Boise because of shoulder injuries. BSU 35, Nevada-Las Vegas 37 at Las Vegas The nationally ranked Broncos (3rd in the United Press poll *BSU 45, Northern Arizona 13 at Flagstaff and the Associated Press Poll) can clinch the Big Sky Cham­ *BSU 42, Weber State 14 in Boise pionship and remain a front runner in the NCAA Division II BSU 41, Cal-Davis 20 in Boise playoff picture with a triumph today. Nov. 16 *BSU at MONTANA Boise is 4-0 in league play and 8-1 on the season. The Bron­ Nov. 23*ldaho at BSU cos’ only loss was a 37-35 thriller with Nevada-Las Vegas, a team UM dropped a last-second, 20-17 verdict to. Last weekend Boise knocked Cal-Davis out of the undefeated ranks with a 41-20 vic­ tory. Montana enters the season finale with a 3-5-1 season record BIG SKY STANDINGS and a 2-2-1 league mark. Boise State 4-0 8-1 Against Idaho State the Grizzlies came from behind to take a Montana State 22-19 lead with 48 seconds to play, but the Bengals bounced back 4-2 6-3 Idaho on a 24-yard TD pass with seven seconds to play. 2-1-1 2-6-1 MONTANA 2-2-1 Saturday night’s defeat marked the third time this season that 3-5-1 Northern Arizona 3-6 the hard-luck Grizzlies had victory snatched from them in the 2-3 Idaho State 4-4 final minute.
