Celebration of SFU Authors March 20, 2012 Message from the University Librarian Welcome to this celebration of SFU authors who have published a book or book chapter during 2011. This is the fifth annual event celebrating SFU book authors sponsored by the Library. This year we are celebrating 127 works published by 107 current faculty, students, staff as well as SFU alumni and retirees. The topics covered by the authors reflect the wide range of inquiry at SFU and confirm the broad impact that our authors are having on the global community. The Library extends its congratulations to each author on their achievement. Charles Eckman University Librarian and Dean of Library Services This list comprises book/chapter publications by SFU students, staff, alumni, and current and retired faculty from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2011. We regret any discrepancies or omissions. 2 Douglas W. Allen • Allen, Douglas A. The Institutional Revolution: Measurement and the Economic Emergence of the Modern World.
