CABERNET SAUVIGNON - for Over 80 Years, Martini Has Crafted World-Class Cabernet Sauvignon from the Exceptional Vineyards of Sonoma and Napa Counties

- 2013 SONOMA COUNTY CABERNET SAUVIGNON - For over 80 years, Martini has crafted world-class Cabernet Sauvignon from the exceptional vineyards of Sonoma and Napa counties. Founder Louis M. Martini believed in a simple, honest premise: The best grapes make the best wines. Today, this tradition carries on with a range of beautifully structured and unforgettable Cabernet Sauvignon wines. VITICULTURAL NOTES The grapes for this wine were primarily selected from renowned vineyards in Sonoma County. Specifically, we looked to our Frei Ranch and Stefani vineyards in Dry Creek Valley AVA, as well as to our Barrelli Creek Vineyard in the Alexander Valley AVA. The 2013 vintage was another ideal growing season. Cooperative weather in the spring, abundant warmth throughout the summer and the late arrival of rain in the fall allowed for wonderful fruit development. The result of this exquisite vintage is Cabernet Sauvignon of vibrant color, intense dark fruit flavors, ripe and rich texture and an impressive finish. WINEMAKER NOTES Traditional destemming and a 48 hour cold soak prior to yeast inoculation ensured maximum extraction of pure Cabernet flavors. Fermentation temperatures between 88°F and 92°F encouraged the 2 0 1 3 Sonoma County development of rich fruit characteristics and a plush, full mouthfeel. French and American oak aging complement the dark fruit character Cabernet Sauvignon with sweet, layered nuances of mocha and caramel. A touch of Petite Sirah and Merlot enhances the wine’s roundness and depth. VARIETAL CONTENT: WINE PROFILE The Louis M. Martini 2013 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon hails Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Sirah from several of the county’s most prestigious vineyards, whose unique APPELLATION: Alexander/Dry Creek Valley characteristics were combined to create a rich, superbly balanced ALCOHOL LEVEL: 13.96% Cabernet Sauvignon. A reflection of the warmer vintage, the wine offers ripe flavors of blackcurrant and jammy black plum accented by notes of RESIDUAL SUGAR: 0.30G/100ML caramelized oak and baking spice. The round, plush mouthfeel offers TITRATABLE ACIDITY: 0.63G/100ML firm structure framed by a fruit-focused finish. PH: 3.70 California Table Wine, ©2015 Louis M. Martini Winery, St. Helena, CA.
