COLORADO • OCT. 3, 2015 OREGON DUCKS FOOTBALL GAME NOTES • 2 HEAD COACH MARK HELFRICH TRENDS UNDER MARK HELFRICH Mark Helfrich’s first two seasons at the helm of the Oregon Ducks’ football program have 2015 All Yrs been as successful as nearly any coach at any school in the history of college football. Helfrich Overall 2-2 26-6 has led Oregon to a 26-6 record, a Pac-12 championship, a Rose Bowl victory and a national Home 2-1 15-2 championship runner-up finish. Helfrich guided Oregon to a 13-2 record (8-1 Pac-12) in 2014 Away 0-1 7-3 which included a 51-13 blowout of Arizona in the Pac-12 Championship game and a 59-20 Neutral - 4-1 shellacking of defending national champion Florida State in the Rose Bowl, and culminated in Grass 0-1 6-2 the Ducks facing Ohio State in the first-ever College Football Playoff National Championship Turf 2-1 20-4 game. Helfrich was rewarded for his success by being named a finalist for a pair of national vs. AP Top 5 0-1 1-2 coaching awards, the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award and Maxwell Football Club Coach vs. AP Top 10 0-1 3-3 of the Year Award. Helfrich’s 26-6 career record through two-plus seasons is the fourth-best start vs. AP Top 25 0-2 7-4 by a Pac-12 head coach in over 64 years and Oregon’s Rose Bowl win was just the fourth in Conf.
