The Third Sunday in Ordinary Time January 24, 2021 An Act of Spiritual Communion My Jesus, I believe that Thou art present in the Blessed Sacrament. I love Thee above all things and I desire Thee in my soul. Since I cannot now receive Thee sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. As though Thou wert already there, I embrace Thee and unite myself wholly to Thee; permit not that I should ever be separated from Thee. Amen. - St. Alphonsus Liguori St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church “The things that we love tell us what we are” ~ St. Thomas Aquinas Mass Schedule - Live Stream Mass Schedule Join us on the front page of our website Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30 a.m. & 12:15 p.m. for our new Streamspot Livestream Thursday: 12:15 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. (Latin) 4th Sunday of Easter Saturday:May 10:00 7, 2017a.m. & 5:30 p.m. (Anticipated Vigil) Personal Church Prayer First Saturday: 10:00 a.m. (Extraordinary Form) M,T,W,F: 9:00a.m.—7:00 p.m. Sunday: 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. (Latin) & 5:00 p.m. Thursday: 1:00 p.m.—7:00 p.m. Saturday & Sunday: 1:00 p.m.—5:00 p.m. Eucharistic Adoration & Benediction Thursdays: 6:00 p.m.—7:00 p.m. Confessions Saturdays: 4:00 p.m.—5:00 p.m. Monday—Friday, except Tuesdays: 6:00 p.m.—7:00 p.m. Saturday: 4:00 p.m.—5:00 p.m. First Fridays: Divine Mercy Holy Hour—7:00 p.m. No Confessions on Tuesdays First Saturday: Holy Hour of Reparation: 8:30 a.m. Contact Information The Parish Office is open Monday—Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For Father Matthew Codd: [email protected] For Father Matthew Bean: [email protected] Please Take Me Home! We ask that you carefully inspect your books and make any necessary repairs. We also ask that books are cleaned out (prayer cards, bookmarks, etc.) and wiped down. Adult Books All of our adult aged reading material will be donated to the Forsyth Prison. There are a few items that are restricted: No hardback covered books No subscribed materials that are aged (magazines, prayer book subscriptions such as Magnificat) Both non-fiction and fiction are welcome! Books in foreign languages are also welcomed. There are many inmates that speak Spanish and French. The prison ministry is also collecting funds to purchase multiple copies of “A Father Who Keeps His Promises” by Scott Hahn. You may consider purchasing a copy and donating it to the drive, or making a donation to the prison ministry program at Forsyth Prison. Please place your donations in the appropriate bin in the Narthex, keeping the adult and children’s books separate. Collections will run through February 7. If you are homebound, call the parish office to arrange a pick up. COVID-19 has greatly affected the way we can reach out to the community, so we appreciate this small gesture of letting our brothers and sisters know we care. Thank you for your contribution! First Saturday Sacramentals Blessing Each First Saturday of the month following the Latin Mass, one of our priests will be available to bless any religious items you may have. You can also have items blessed that require a unique ritual (such as salt). Do not be discouraged if you have an item that needs to be blessed prior to or after this designated time. This is simply a convenient and guaranteed way for you to be able to avail yourself of a priest for a blessing. Please visit our website for Father Matthew’s announcement regarding the validity of Baptisms that took place at our parish from 1996 to 2004 by Deacon Macero. There is a FAQ document that may be able to answer any concerns or questions that you may have in this situation. If you have any other questions, or need to confirm anything regarding your sacraments, please call the parish office. 3 St. Thomas Aquinas Charlotte, NC +Coming This Week AH = Aquinas Hall BLR = Brother Leo Room K = Kitchen in AH OCR = Office Conference Room CY = Court Yard CH =Church PC= Parish Center chp = Chapel BR = Bridal Room Date Time Event / Activity 9:00a.m. Sandwich Drop Off [AH] 10:00a.m Sandwich Making for Women’s Shelter [AH] Mon. 6:00p.m.
