Press Note Dehradun, 16 May: Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna has expressed his grief and extended condolence over the deaths of three students of Petroleum University who had drowned in River Ganga at Rishikesh on Tuesday. The Chief Minister has prayed for peace of the departed souls and strength for the bereaved family members. Press Note Dehradun, 16 May: Moved by the media reports regarding an ailing woman and her little son, Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna today visited the patient in Doon hospital here and extended her financial help. The Chief Minister Bahuguna visited the woman hailing from Gairsain in Chamoli district who is seriously ill and being looked after her 10-year-old son Raju. Mr Bahuguna gave the woman Rs. 10,000 from his own pocket and directed that her treatment expenses be borne from The Chief Minister Discretionary Fund. Mr. Bahuguna assured the woman and her son that the best available treatment would be provided and directed the Chief Medical Superintendent to provide all medical facilities to Jaini and proper lodging and boarding facilities to her son Raju. He also sought details of treatment from senior surgeon doctor K K Tamta and senior doctor K C Pant who are treating Jaini and directed that daily report about the patient and her son be submitted to the chief Minister Office. Later, Chief Minister also visited former education minister Narendra Singh Bhandari and received information about his treatment from Dr. Pant. He directed the doctors to provide best mediacl care to Mr Bhandari and wished him early recovery. M.r Bahuguna also took the opportunity to visit the general ward and enquired about the condition of the patients admitted there. He was accompanied by Rajpur MLA Rajkumar, opposition leader Nagar Nigam Ashok Verma and others. Press Note Dehradun, 16 May: Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna today launched the awareness campaign of Aage Haath Badao Sewa Trust, Lucknow, regarding donation of body, its parts including eyes and blood to save precious lives. He also flagged off mobile van of the Trust. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bahuguna said that donation of blood and body parts was the highest form of human service.
