Summer ---- BOARD OF TRUSTEES ---- services begin at 8:00 P.M. and are held in Har Sinai's air-conditioned Social Hall. Dress is casual and congregants are encouraged to participate in the services. If you are interested in delivering a Dvar Torah or a short sermon or helping to lead the service, contact the rabbi or the cantor. Photo by Don Lowing New Executive Board Members Howard Welt, Treasurer A native of New York City, Howard has lived in Yardley for the past twenty two years. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Cornell University and graduated from the New York University School of Medicine where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Howard is a senior partner and Secretary of Radiology Affiliates of Central New Jersey, P.A. He has been the Chairman of the Department of Radiology of the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton for the past 14 years. He is also an Attending Radiologist on the staffs of St. Francis Medical Center, St. Mary Hospital in Langhorne, and St. Agnes Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Welt has served both on the Board of Har Sinai Temple and as Chairman of the Har Sinai Endowment Fund for the past six years. During that time, the Endowment Fund has grown from $10,000 to over $129,000 and will provide $5,800 to the Temple's general operating budget this year. He served on the Board of the Jewish Family Service from 1974 to 1975. He has been married to Alice for twenty six years and has three daughters, Laura, Susan, and Karen. Ariel Perelmuter, VlCe President Ariel became a Bat Mitzvah and was confirmed and married at Har Sinai Temple, and spent many active years here, particularly while her father was Ariel Perelmuter, continued the Rabbi of the Congregation. She received her Bachelor's Degree from George Washington University and her J.D. from the New England School of Law. She has worked mostly in legislative and public policy related positions. While she has worked actively on many Temple fundraising projects, Ariel's primary focus at Har Sinai has been on Social Action. Under her chairmanship, the Social Action Committee has become one of Har Sinai's most dynamic. She currently lives in Yardley with husband, Gene Chertock, and their three-year-old son, Sam. We are now using IBM compatible computers, and have purchased a special software system designed specifically for Temples. This new system will allow us to do your Temple bills "in-house", as well as track all donations, gifts, and contributions to the Temple and our Funds.
