The University gf Dayton News Release ARCHBISHOP PIL~~CZYK TO SPEAK AT UD DAYTON, Ohio, February 24, 1983 -- As part of a series on national and international security the Most Reverend Daniel E. Pilarczyk will speak at : the University of Dayton on "Peace: t'lhose and How?" on Mo:".day, f.1a rch 7, in the Kennedy Union Ballroom. The series on national and international security is being presented by the Dayton Council on World Affairs. Pilarczyk's lecture is being co- sponsored by the Unive:~3 ity of Dayton and the Greater Dayton Area League of Women Voters. Pilarczyk, born in Dayton, is the Ar~hbishop of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. He holds bachelor's degree s in philosophy and theology and a doctorat e in theology f r om Propaganda College i n Rome , a master's degree in classi cs from Xaviar University, and a doctorate in philosophy from the Univ-er s i ty of c ;.nc ir_'1ati. In 1968 he \'las named rector of St. Gregory Seminary in Cincinnati and in 1974 he was appointed auxiliary bishop by Pope Paul VI. The evening program will begin at 7:30p.m. with a wine and cheese recepti on fo llo\'~~d by Pilarczyk' s talk at 8 p.m. General admission is $3.50.
