EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The site of Strathfield Synagogue, 19 Florence Street, Strathfield is currently the subject of a Heritage Assessment. In June 2013, Architectural Projects were commissioned by Strathfield Council to undertake a Heritage Assessment Report including a recommendation as to whether or not the Strathfield Synagogue at 19 Florence Street, Strathfield is worthy of being proposed as a local heritage item. This report relates to Council's 9 April 2013 resolution "to conduct a heritage review of Strathfield Synagogue at 19 Florence Street, Strathfield to determine if this structure is of local heritage significance."
