ORDER MADE UNDER SECTION 2(1). In exercise of the powers vested in him by subsection (1) of section 2 of the Summer Time Ordinance, the Administrator hereby makes the following Order:- 1. This Order may be cited as the Summer Time Order 2003. 2. In the period specified in the Schedule hereto, the time for legal and general purposes in the Areas shall be three hours in advance of Greenwich Mean Time. Local traffic for Richmond Village will be facilitated. Traffic for Larnaca or Xylotymbou will be diverted via Waterloo Road. Dated this 5th day of July 2002. E. VALANCE, Chief Constable, Sovereign Base Areas. (132/32) (144) 276 No.56 THE FITTING AND WEARING OF SEAT BELTS ORDINANCE (Ordinances 11 of 1987 and 19 of 2002). ORDER UNDER SECTIONS 3(2) AND 5(2). In exercise of the powers vested in him by sections 3(2) and 5(2) ofthe Fitting and Wearing of Seat Belts Ordinance 1987 as amended by section 4 of the Fitting and Wearing of Seat Belts (Amendment) Ordinance 2002, the Chief Officer appoints the lStAugust 2002 as the day from which any motor vehicle which - (a) was manufactured after lStJanuary 1988; and (b) was registered in the Island of Cyprus before 1st August 2002 and remained so registered on and after that date, shall be securely fitted with a seat belt or a restraining system for each seat in the motor vehicle. Nothing in this Order shall be construed as affecting the application of the proviso to section 5(2) of the Fitting and Wearing of Seat Belts Ordinance 1987 as amended as aforesaid (which allows for exemptions from the provisions of section 5(2) subject to the licence of the Registrar).
