Course title: BCU 3* Surf Kayak (Assessment) Duration: 1 day Description: The BCU 3 Star Surf Kayak Award is a one day assessment. In order for you to take the assessment it is recommended that you have already taken 3 Star Surf Training. This, however, is not essential, so if you have not taken the previous awards or training session but feel you have sufficient relevant experience it is best to contact us to discuss taking the assessment. The course will build upon and assess the skills previously learnt in the 3 Star Surf Kayak Training. The assessment will require evidence of at least 3 previous surfing sessions (i.e. log book) in more than one location, and skills including control of the kayak, positioning and wave selection, capsize recovery and theory. If you feel you haven't had enough experience of surf kayaking to take the assessment, or would like to build on your skills and experience before getting the award, our BCU 3 Star Surf Kayak Training course is the perfect next step for you. Prerequisites: It is recommended that the candidate holds the BCU 2* award. Provide evidence of at least 3 surfing sessions in more than one location.
