Music at Grace 2015-2016 WELCOME

Music at Grace 2015-2016 WELCOME Dear Friends, As rector of Grace Church, I invite you to join us for the worship and musical events described in this booklet. Music has been one of the great gifts of the Christian Church to the world, and music here at Grace has blessed downtown Providence for almost two centuries. Music may certainly be enjoyed in any setting, but hearing it in a beautiful and historic landmark such as Grace is a double blessing. We hope to see you here in the oldest, active Episcopal church in the city of Providence some Sunday (or any day) soon! In Peace, Jonathan Huyck+ Dear Friends, I am thrilled to begin my first season as Director of Music at Grace Church in Providence. Grace has a long and distinguished history of music, both in worship and concert settings. This booklet outlines the musical offering for the coming season, particularly the 10 AM Holy Eucharist on Sunday mornings. Services of Choral Evensong, Lessons and Carols and concerts are included as well. We hope that you will walk through our historic doors on Westminster Street in downtown Providence for worship or concert, or both very soon!
