Helen invited attendees to the Diving area where the Edinburgh Diving Club performed an incredible display of diving. The club were thanked for the display. It was noted that the following organisations sent their apologies: Rosie Guant West Edinburgh Netball Club Natalia Anderson UoE Gymnastics Club Stuart Black Edinburgh United FC Nicola Sturrock Spartans Community FA Steven Edinburgh Wrestling Club Sam Jenkins Edinburgh University Swimming & WP Club The minutes of the 2014 ClubSportEdinburgh AGM were presented. Kevin Rowe proposed the minute as a true and accurate record of proceedings, seconded by Gordon Love and the minutes were adopted. Chairperson’s Report Helen Murray presented the Chairperson’s Report to member clubs. Highlights included: • The CSE website launch in June 2014 • CSE membership supports 89 clubs representing 17,000 people including 880 coaches and 900 volunteers. • The Royal Commonwealth Pool’s involvement in the Commonwealth Games in 2014 • The successes of Edinburgh’s athletes in Team Scotland. • YouthSportEdinburgh. • The Festival of Sport. • Free spaces on Coaching Edinburgh courses. • Council budget consultation. • Meadowbank Sports Centre Treasurer’s Report Kevin Rowe presented the Treasurer’s Report. Main figures were: Accounts 2014/15 Balance of Funds as at 31/3/15 Income £4,501.70 Current Account £2,866.02 Expenditure £3,962.41 Savings Account £2,102.28 Surplus £539.29 Current Net Assets £4,968.30 At this point, both the Chairperson’s report and the Treasurer’s report were proposed by Chris Peggie and seconded by Lindsay Muir and thereby adopted. Vote of thanks to outgoing Executive Vote of thanks was declared by Helen Murray of ClubSportEdinburgh & to all the ClubSportEdinburgh Executive Committee. Particular thanks were given to the committee members who have stepped down including Mike Wallace, Giles Lomax and Mel Berry. Election of Office Bearers Chairperson: Helen Murray (Warrender Baths Club) Proposed by Jennifer MacLeod (Warrender Baths Club), seconded by Alyson Shaw (Heart of Midlothian ASC). Vice-Chairperson: Jonathan Imrie (Jidel Judo 93) Proposed by Lee Calder, seconded by Gordon Love Treasurer: Kevin Rowe (HotScots FC) Secretary: Chris Peggie (Corstorphine AAC) Proposed by Gordon Love, seconded by Jim Donachie Executive Member: Marjory Verth (Warrender BC) Executive Member: Gordon Love (Fencing Is Fun) Executive Member: Jim Donachie (Royal High & Corstorphine Cougars Rugby Club) Executive Member: Lauren Jeffrey (City of Edinburgh Trampoline Club) Executive Member: Adele Hill (Kestrel Gymnastics Club) YouthSportEdinburgh representative: Cat Morton It was noted that Rosie Gaunt (West Edinburgh Netball Club) and Norman McGlinchey (Meadows City Tennis Club) were interested in acting as Executive Members on ClubSportEdinburgh, but in light of the response from attendees the subsequent vote meant that those listed above were unanimously appointed. It was also noted that attendance at the Executive Committee meetings was not exclusive to the committee and that all member clubs were welcome to attend and offer support. There will also be a number of sub-groups established which will need support. Any Other Business There was no appointment of an independent auditor and therefore this duty will be taken forward by the incoming Executive Committee. There was no further business so Helen Murray declared the Annual General Meeting 2015 officially closed. Following the Annual General Meeting, there were presentations from the following people: 7.40pm: Introduction Colin McMillan (City of Edinburgh Council & ClubSportEdinburgh) 7.45pm: Local funding Maureen Thompson (City of Edinburgh Council, Services for Communities) 8.00pm: National funding opportunities Andy Kelly (sportscotland, Project Manager) 8.15pm: Grace Reid Edinburgh’s current British mixed synchro diving champion and Commonwealth Games Competitor .
