After submitting your online application you will receive an email with detailed instructions on the further application process (you will be asked to email documents such as official transcript, proof of English language test score etc.). 3. About 2-3 weeks after the application deadline, you will receive either a rejection or a confirmation of participation by email. If you need a more formal letter of admission besides the conformation email, please inform us. 4. Shortly afterwards all students who need a residence permit will receive a visa application package. Remember to apply for your Danish residence permit right after you receive the visa application package. This is very important –it takes at least 2 months to get a Danish residence permit. There are different procedures for EU, non-EU and Scandinavian students. EU students If you are a citizen of the EU, you must apply for a residence permit within 5 days of your arrival. Along with your official letter of admission (sent to you by normal mail), you will receive an application form for residence permit as well as instruction on how to apply. Please apply for your permit at the nearest Danish embassy or consulate immediately after you receive your letter of admission, as the application process usually takes a considerable length of time (2-3 months). Note that the Danish Immigration Service charges an application fee for processing your application. And they do not begin processing your application until payment is received. Depending on which city you live in, the monthly rent will range from: Aarhus: DKK 2,000-2,500. Copenhagen: DKK 2,700-3,700. Transportation: Free bus transportation: Free transport within zone 1 and 2 as long as your Aarhus Card is valid. You can jump on and fof the bus as many times as you like within that period. Please note that the AarhusCard does not cover bus transportation outside of zone 2 but it is possible to buy a supplementary ticket for the extra zones.
