Dear U15 Emerging Tigers Squad Member, Firstly I would like to congratulate you on your selection for this seasons U15 Emerging Tigers Program. As you may be aware, each year Cricket Tasmania enter a team in the School Sport Australia (SSA) U15 Boys Cricket Championships. Cricket Tasmania see this team as an integral part of our High Performance Pathway as it gives players such as yourself your first taste of representative cricket at a National level. Over the years players such as Tim Paine, James Faulkner, Sam Rainbird, Jake Doran (NSW) and Tom Triffitt have all started in this program. This season the SSA U15 Boys carnival will be played in Brisbane with the dates at this stage pencilled in for mid to late February 2016. For your information please find below some further details: Cost – $600 per player (approx) – This fee includes and is subject to change: o Team Clothing o Airfaires and Accommodation o Meals o SSA Championships fees 13 Players will be selected 2 coaches and a Manager will travel with the team For you guys, the selection process for this team starts now. Right throughout the Emerging Tigers Program I will be in constant contact with your coaches who will give me updates on how all their players are going. I encourage you to listen to what your coaches have to say, train with intensity and with the attitude of wanting to learn at all times and most of all have fun. One particular area to work on would be your fielding. We as the High Performance coaching group are looking for players who are good throwers, who anticipate and are competitive at all times when in the field.
