ITDA (PTG-CHENCHU) MANNANUR NAGARKURNOOL DISTRICT GOVERNMENT OF TELENGANA BRIEF NOTE ON ITDA FOR DEVELOPMENT OF PVTG- CHENCHUS As a part of TSP strategy, during Fifth five year Plan, ITDAs were constituted in districts having Scheduled area and preponderance of tribal population. Subsequently, MADA Pockets and clusters were also formed to cover the pockets of tribal concentration outside of TSP areas. The rest of the tribal population not covered under ITDA/MADA clusters is covered under dispersed tribal Groups who are spread over more than one district and require special focus on certain tribal Groups. As per G.O. Ms.No.314, ESW, dated 24.03.1976 the Govt. have issued orders for creation of “Integrated Tribal Development Agency for Primitive Tribal Groups” (Chenchu) for 6 districts Viz.,1. Mahabubnagar 2. Nalgonda, 3.Ranga Reddy 4.Prekasam 5.Kurnool and 6. Gunture districts with head querters at Hyderabad under the Chairmanship of Director of Tribal Welfare, AP.,Hyderabad. later, as per GO Ms.No. 115, Dt;19.06.1980 and Go.Ms.No.245 Dt.10.11.1988, the Government have issued orders shifting the head quarters from Hyderabad to Srisilam accordingly ITDA for PTG Chenchus Srisailam was registered under Societies act. As per AP Re- Organization Act 6/2014 and GO. Ms. No. 60 Dt.31.05.2014, the Government of AP., Hyderabad has issued orders and bifurcated the integrated Tribal Development Agency, for primitive Tribal Groups (PTG-Chenchu), in to two ITDAs for Andhra Pradesh (Residuary) and Telangana State and proposed the head quarters of the ITDA (PTG- Chenchu), at Mannanur. Accordingly ITDA(PTG-Chenchu) has registered under Societies act. Later, district Re - Organization (5) covering in ITDA(PTG-Chenchu) Mannanur. Latrcy Rate : 40.87 Male 23.45 Female. In this connection, draft letter was addressed to the Executive Engineer RWS,MB Intra division Nagarkurnool to identify the Chenchu habitations whihch require drinking water facility and furnish the proposal to this office to get administrative sanction from the competent authority. In this regard, the Deputy Engineer RWS, Mission Bhageeratha Achampet sub - division has reported that there are (16) habitations located in deep forest and not feasible to provide drinking water under mission Bhageeratha Scheme due to forest cover and high cost. The Deputy Engineer RWS,MB Achampet sub - division has provided hand pump sets and the work is under progress for the SVS scheme with 5 HP Solar Pump sets, Over Head Tanks, Pipelines in (16) habitations. Instructions were issued to the Special Officer (I/c) MGNREGS Chenchu Spl. Project to complete all the pending works (732) within the sanctioned budget in convergence with Rural Development Trust and requested RDT to cooperate as discussed during the Governing body meeting under leadership of the Commissioner of Tribal Welfare TS., Hyderabad. In this regard it is submitted that out of Total 1632 works (273) latrines works are completed in convergence with Rural Development Trust and (5) works are notified as duplication details are follows; IHHL Work started under basement level 591 IHHL Work with basement level comlitted 19 IHHL Total Work completed 281 IHHL Work under progress 736 IHHL Names Duplication 05 Total 1632 Items No. 3- Anganwadi Centers: The Governing Body has resolved to send a proposal to ICDS Department with a request to sanction Anganwadi Centers in these 12 PvTG habitations as proposed by the RDT.,. In this connection, it is submitted that the CDPO, Balmoor has informed that atleast 300 must be residing for sanction of Anganwadi center as per criteria. Further, the CDPO Balmoor has informed that presently they are running mini Anganwadi centers in chenchu habitation with the chenchus. Page no-7- However, The RD., RDT., has proposed for AW centers in (9) habitations. Accordingly a proposal has been submitted to the Director WD & CW TS.,Hyderabad for sanction of (9) AW centers. Vide T/o Lr.Rc.No.PTG/070/2020 Dt:25.05.2020. Awaiting for orders. Item No.4- Pucca Houses : The Secretary to Govt., TWD & Commissioner of Tribal Welfare has informed that total budget of Rs.5.82 Crores is available under CCDP for providing Pucca Houses to the PvTGs. The Governing Body has resolved to construct (200) pucca houses with the available budget @ Rs.3.00 Lakhs each house.The selection of villages/habitations and colonies shall be done by the District Level Committee and the villages shall be covered on a saturation mode.
