Curriculum Vitae Jan Mulder Born: 3 October 1943 in Diever, The Netherlands 1970: MCs degree at Agricultural University in Wageningen, The Netherlands 1970-1975 Working first as an Associate Expert and later as Expert for the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations in Kenya. 1975-1976 Working as an official of the Ministry of Development Cooperation in the Netherlands 1976-1994 Working as an official of the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium. Responsible for developing and implementing Agricultural Development projects, especially Animal Production projects in Africa and Asia. 1994-2004 and 2010-2014 Member of the European Parliament. Elected on the list of the Dutch Liberal Party(VVD) and therefore initially a member of the Group of European Liberal Democrat and Reform party(ELDR), which transformed later in the Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe(ALDE). In his parliamentary activities; Chair of the Budget Control Committee.(2011-2012) Vice-Chair Temporary Committee on foot and mouth disease.(2002) Vice-Chair Committee on Budgets.(2004-2007) Vice-Chair Delegation for relations with the countries of South Asia and SAARC Quaestor 2007-2009 Member or substitute-member of the following committees.
