Father, we ask Your blessings for the President, the Vice President, the Governor of our state, the Lieutenant Governor, the Speaker, the Members of both bodies, persons that work in order to make government work. Father, make sure that we understand and appreciate that we are here to do Thy will. And before we act, I ask that You ask us to walk in the other Member s' shoe, the other person s' shoe, look at what the implications are of what we do. Yes, Father, I understand and appreciate that we have a divided world, a divided country. One person, if I can use person, that can bring us back together is the heavenly Father.
