All the guests and participants were welcomed by Mr. Rameshwor Marhatta, Chief, NRA DLPIU GMaLI, Lalitpur. Agenda 2 • NRA DLPIU GMaLI decisions to POs NRA DLPIU GMaLI informed POs about giving continuation of regular coordination meeting once a month. As per the decision POs were requested to submit the monthly update report at the end of each month. Agenda 3 • Updates of the POs activity The POs working in the district gave brief updates on the activities. The staff from partner organizations working in shelter reconstruction, livelihood and WASH sector such as Lumanti, Solve Nepal, RICOD Nepal and NRCS participated in the meeting. • RICOD: Rural Institution for Community Development (RICOD) has been working in WASH, livelihood and agricultural top up support interventions for earthquake affected beneficiaries in Ward no 5 and 6 of Godawari Municipality and Ward no 1, 3, 4, 5 (Chaughare, Dalchoki, Nallu and Bhardeu areas of Konjosyom Rural Municipality of Lalitpur district. Last month, RICOD has provided material support for latrine construction to 2 households in Bhardeu. Till date RICOD has provided latrine construction materials to 55 families. Among them 15 families have already completed the construction work and received the completion certificate and others are in under construction stage. Similarly, community awareness activities on WASH. RICOD has provided agriculture training and support and livestock training and support in project wards of Chaughare, Bhardeu and Nallu areas. Similarly, construction materials like cement, sand, brick, iron rod, CGI sheet etc has been provided as to up support for 3 households in Bhardue and 2 households of Chaughare five families of project areas. Similarly, regular follow up for the supervision of reconstruction has also been provided to households under project wards. • Solve Nepal: Solve Nepal under the Livelihood Reconstruction Project (LRP) has reached to 2nd year of its project operation in Bukhel (Mahankal RM), Bhattedanda (Bagmati RM) and Sankhu (Konjosyom) areas. Solve Nepal carried forward activities such as reformation of DRR CCA Committee in coordination with Ward office. Project activities of past few months included, 15 Agricultural training, 14 livestock training, organized 2 events of animal health camp. Similarly Solve Nepal has successfully developed Vegetable Collection Center at Unyochour, Sankhu in collaboration with Ward Office of Sankhu. Similarly, Solve Nepal managed to Milk Hygiene Hoarding Board that disseminates messages of maintaining milk hygiene during collection and transportation. • Lumanti: Lumanti has been involved in the reconstruction including grant support, material and technical support in Thecho and Chapagaun of Godawari Municipality, Sanogaun and Siddhipur of Mahalaxmi Municipality and Dalchoki of Konjosyom Rural Municipality in Lalitpur district. Reconstruction of 30 houses in Thuladurlung, Mahankal Rural Municipality area has been completed. Lumanti has been providing door to door technical assistance to support earthquake affected beneficiaries in reconstructing their houses. The reconstruction update of Lumanti is given below: o Total Target: 710 HHs o 1st Tranche: 604 HHs o 2nd Tranche: 509 HHs o 3rd Tranche: 263 HHs • Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS): NRCS has been facilitating earthquake affected beneficiaries whereby working mainly in WASH, health and livelihood sector in 16 Wards of 4 municipalities - Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Mahalaxmi Municipality, Godawari Municipality and Konjosyom Rural Municipality. Funded by British Red Cross, all the project activities of NRCS will complete by December end 2018. The activities of NRCS includes- o Major achievement on WASH includes the handover process of Chyasal Drainage to the community, MoU for CGD latrine in Shramik Shanti School along with the continuous progress on HH latrine construction and continuation of CLTS and SLTS activities in 7 different project schools. o Provided livelihood support (agriculture, livestock and enterprises development) to 509 earthquake affected beneficiaries. o 2 event of animal health camp had been completed which had reached 241 households of which 3794 livestock were benefited with the free health service. The health camp was conducted with the technical support from District Livestock Service Office. o 1 events of finance management training had been completed reaching 18 beneficiaries among which 4 were female. The facilitation of the program was conducted in coordination with District Cooperatives Union. Miscellaneous Items / AOB: • NRA DLPIU GMaLI: Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist requested all the POs to submit the monthly report in time. Chief, NRA DLPIU GMaLI Lalitpur requested HRRP to coordinate with POs for their availability in coordination meetings. This orientation is targeted to reach technical personnel working at DLPIU office, local bodies and at POs in order to equip knowledge of reconstructing houses using timber and steel frame. Decisions Made: 1. The NRA DLPIU GMaLI Lalitpur meeting will be held every 3rd day of the Nepali month. 2. Differences in the PA number will be further verified by providing three generation list of the beneficiaries to NRA through coordination. 3. NRA DLPIU GMaLI Lalitpur Office decided to give continuation of former NRA Lalitpur’s generation coordination meeting which will be organized once every 3rd date of Nepali month. 4. All the POs and DLPIUs must submit the monthly report to NRA 1st day of Nepali month.
