Day 1: Thursday, August 1st , 2019: 2:00pm: For Hire Mb Shuttle To and From San Francisco-SFO will be available departing and returning from Mb parking-lot, San Luis Obispo. If you are providing your own transportation to SFO airport, please plan on arriving 4 hours early due to this International flight and Israel security check-in. 21:40pm: Depart SFO on United Flt UA 954 to Tel Aviv-Ben Gurion non-stop. Day 2: Friday, August 2nd : Arrive @ appox 21:40 pm @ Tel Aviv Ben Gurion. Dinner and overnight @ the Dan Panorama Hotel in Tel Aviv on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea near the Old City of Joppa (Jaffa). Day 3: Saturday, August 3rd : Visit Tel Beit Shemesh and panoramic view of the Sorek Valley: Return of the Ark of the Covenant (1 Sam 6), Samson (born in Zorah) & Delilah (Judges 13-16), Visit Tel Azeka: Overlook Khirbet Qaeifaya (Shaaraim) in 1 Samuel 17:52. The Elah Fortress is the site of an ancient city overlooking the Elah Valley. This valley was the last line of defense where an army could be assembled to fight off invasions before Jerusalem. Site of David & Goliath battlefield (1 Samuel 17: 1-4, 50). Drive by 5 Roman milestones near Givat Yeshayahu in vicinity of the Caves of Adulam National Park. Drive into the Southern Judean hills (The Shephelah) in vicinity of Tel Lachish : Battle accounts of Joshua (Canaanite), Sennacherib (Assyrian) and Nebuchadnezzar (Babylonian). Drive East of Gath, home city of Goliath. Continue to Tel Be’er Sheva (Isaac in Gen 26:33) in vicinity just East of Ziklag (Site of David and Amalekites: 1 Samuel 27- 30). The Negev Desert: in vicinity of Tel Arad (Joshua 12) on our way to the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is located in the Jordan Valley-African Rift, a 4000-mile fault line in the earth's crust. The sea helped delay an advancing army of Ammonites and Moabites from the East side as they came to attack King Jehoshaphat (2 Chr. 20). Dinner & Overnight @ Daniel Dead Sea Hotel in Ein Bokek @ the Dead Sea.._____________________________________________________________________ Day 4: Sunday, August 4th : The Great Wilderness of Northern Negev: Early morning departure for exploring of Masada: You will take a cable car to the summit of this magnificent fortress built by King Herod the Great and the last stronghold of Jewish sovereignty held out against the occupying Roman army during the First Jewish-Roman War. Visit the historic ruins of the palaces, bathhouses, swimming pool, and the oldest synagogue in the world on this mountain in the middle of the desert. The Place of Refuge: En Gedi-[Hazazon-tamar] Inherited by the tribe of Judah (Joshua 15:62). Around 1000 BC, En Gedi was one of the places of refuge for David as he fled from Saul. David "dwelt in strongholds at En Gedi" (1 Sam 23:29). In a nearby cave, David cut off the corner of Saul’s’ robe (1 Sam 24). The Vineyards of Ein Gedi were celebrated by King Solomon: "My beloved is to me as a cluster of henna blossoms in the vineyards of En Gedi" (S of S 1:14). Free Time: You will have the opportunity to swim in the Dead Sea across the street from the Hotel. The unique salt-sea water mineral concentration has long been known to have medicinal value; Aristotle, Queen of Sheba, King Solomon and Cleopatra were all familiar with the waters of the Dead Sea. Dinner & Overnight @ Daniel Dead Sea Hotel Day 5: Monday, August 5th : The Wilderness of Judah: Qumran- Dead Sea site of the Essenes settlement that preserved Biblical books written on scrolls regarded as one of Israel’s national treasures. Jordan River-Jericho Baptism (Qaser El Yahud): site is the near traditional crossing of the Jordan by the Israelites, the departure of Elijah on a chariot of fire and the Bethany- beyond-Jordan site where John baptized Jesus. Genesis Land and “Abraham’s Tent” for a camel experience. Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Separated from the Temple Mount by the Kidron Valley, the 2900 foot Mt. of Olives has served as one of the main burial grounds for Israel. The Zechariah 14 prophecies the Mt. of Olives is where the feet of returning King Jesus will touch the Mount that will split in two, from East to West, setting His Jewish people free at the final battle for Jerusalem. Garden of Gethsemane: The vicinity of where Jesus prayed to the Father hours before his crucifixion, Church of All Nations in vicinity of Bethany: village & tomb on eastern slope of the Mount of Olives. This was a place of rest and refuge for Jesus with His friends Mary, Martha & Lazarus. This is where Jesus called: “Lazarus, come out!” (John 11:1-44), and Jesus said to Mary sitting at His feet, “Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her” (Luke 10:38-42). Drive by vicinity of Bethpage: Jesus departed on a donkey from Bethphage as the people praised him as the King of Israel (Matthew 21:1-17). Dinner and Overnight at the Olive Tree Hotel in Jerusalem. Day 6: Tuesday, August 6th : Early morning Introduction to Jerusalem: The City of David film.
