Nigeria 24 - 30 AUGUST 2020 Casualties: Damaged Shelters: Movement Trigger: 1,832 Individuals 11 Individuals 128 Block Armed attacks/ Shelters Floods Kaita Mai'adua Jibia Mashi OVERVIEW Shinkafi Katsina Daura Zango Dutsi Safana Batagarawa Mani The crisis in Nigeria’s North Central and North West zones, which involves Rimi Zurmi Batsari Baure long-standing tensions between ethnic and linguistic groups; attacks by crim- Sokoto Maradun Kurfi Charanchi Bindawa inal groups; and banditry/hirabah (such as kidnapping and grand larceny Bakura Ingawa Katsina along major highways) led to fresh wave of population displacement.
