Charlie Blackmon, DJ LeMahieu and Carlos González each scored a career-high tying four runs, the first time in franchise history that three Rockies have scored four runs in a single game … González (six RBI) and Ian Desmond (five RBI) became the first pair of teammates to record five or more RBI in the same game since González (six RBI) and Ramon Hernandez (five RBI) did so on April 27, 2012 vs. New York-NL, the eighth time in franchise history this has happened. German Márquez recorded his first career home run and a career-high two RBI … it was the team’s first home run by a pitcher this year (last: Jon Gray on July 5, 2017 vs. Cincinnati) … recorded his second quality start at home after pitching six innings and allowing two runs on five hits with eight strikeouts … is 3-0 with a 1.80 ERA (20.0 IP, 4 ER), two walks and 22 strikeouts over his last three starts. Charlie Blackmon hit the 129th home run of his career passing Matt Holliday for ninth-most in franchise history … has hit four home runs in his past seven games. Carlos González recorded his first multi-home run game of the season, the 21st multi-home run game of his career (last: September 12, 2017 at Arizona) … his six RBI are a season-high and most since recording a career-high seven RBI Sept. 2, 2015 vs. Arizona …it was his seventh career game with six or more RBI, the most such games in franchise history. Ian Desmond collected his 18th home run this season, fifth at home … it is the second time this season he has homered in the first inning, the second time in his career he has hit a three-run home run in the first inning … his five RBI tied a career-high (2x, last: June 9, 2014 at San Francisco). DJ LeMahieu came to the plate in each of the first five innings the second Rockies player in franchise history to accomplish the feat (Kaz Matsui, Aug. 8, 2007 vs. Milwaukee) … is the first player in MLB to accomplish this since Mark Reynolds and Carlos Santana for the Indians April 20, 2013 at Houston (Elias). D-backs Notes The Arizona Diamondbacks suffered their first loss at Coors Field since June 20, 2017 … allowed a season-high 19 runs, their second time this season allowing double digit runs … their most runs allowed since allowing a franchise record 21 runs on Oct. 2, 2015 vs. Houston … the 17 run margin of defeat is tied for their second-largest in franchise history with a 19-2 loss at Colorado on June 18, 2000 (largest margin of defeat: 18 runs, 19-1 loss on Sept. 2, 2002 vs. Los Angeles-NL) … their 19 hits allowed tied a season-high (April 2 vs. Los Angeles-NL). Shelby Miller pitched one inning allowing five runs on five hits with two walks and one strikeout … left the game with right elbow tightness … it was the second shortest start of his career (shortest: 0.0 August 7, 2013 vs. Los Angeles-NL, left after getting hit with a line drive) … it is the 11th time in franchise history that a starting pitcher went an inning or less (last: T.J. McFarland, Aug. 20, 2017 at Minnesota) … is now 0-4 with a 12.68 ERA (14.2 IP, 20 ER) in four career starts at Coors Field … in four starts this season is 0-4 with a 11.40 ERA (15 IP, 19 ER). Daniel Descalso made his second pitching appearance this season, the fifth of his career … became the first position player in team history to pitch more than 1.0 innings … his 2.2 innings pitched were the most by a true position player since Jose Oquendo threw 4.0 innings with St. Louis vs. Atlanta on May 14, 1988.
