Papers Laid on the Table Shri Ram Vilas Paswan (Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers and Minister of Steel) laid on the Table a copy (in English and Hindi) of the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers Notification S.O. 1445 (E) dated the 1st October, 2005, publishing the Order indicating the supplies of urea to be made by domestic manufacturers of urea to the States and Union Territories during Rabi Season, 2005-06, under sub-section (6) of section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955. _______________________________________________________________* From 11-02 a.m. to 11-05 a.m. some points were raised. 25TH NOVEMBER, 2005 Smt. Panabaka Lakshmi (Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare) laid on the Table a copy each (in English and Hindi) of the following papers:— (a) Annual Report and Accounts of the National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata, for the year 2003-2004, together with the Auditor's Report on the Accounts. (b) Review by Government on the working of the above Institute. (c) Statement giving reasons for the delay in laying the papers mentioned at (a) above. 12-01 p.m. 5. Reports of the Committee on Petitions Shri Jana Krishnamurthy K. presented the following Reports (in English and Hindi) of the Committee on Petitions—- (i) Hundred and Twenty-fourth Report on the petition signed by Shri S.S. Chouhan, General Secretary, Indian National Building Construction Workers' Federation, Delhi and two others, praying for enactment of a comprehensive legislation for unorganized workers and effecting suitable amendments in the existing enactments to improve the conditions of construction workers/migrant labourers, besides banning the use of asbestos to get rid of toxin in e-waste; and (ii) Hundred and Twenty-fifth Report on the petition signed by Shri K. Murali Krishna, a resident of Mumbai regarding violation of public policy on Employees’ Provident Fund by M/s Fairgrowth Financial Services Limited and the need for amendment in the existing laws to regulate the functioning of the Provident Fund Trusts established by the private companies in the country. 6. Report of the Department Related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture Shri Nilotpal Basu presented the Ninety-first Report (in English and Hindi) of the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture on ‘Functioning of the Archaeological Survey of India’. RAJYA SABHA 12-02 p.m. 7. Statement regarding Government Business Shri Suresh Pachouri, Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Minister of State in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs made a statement regarding Government Business in the Rajya Sabha during the week commencing Monday, the 28th November, 2005. 12-03 p.m. 8. Government Bill — Introduced The Manipur University (No.2) Bill, 2005 Shri Arjun Singh (Minister of Human Resource Development) moved for leave to introduce a Bill to establish and incorporate a teaching and affiliating University in the State of Manipur and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. (Due to continued interruptions in the House, Rajya Sabha adjourned for the day.) (The House adjourned at 12-04 p.m. till 11-00 a.m. on Monday, the 28th November, 2005) .
