MICHIGAN.-Reports to the State board of health, Lansing, for the week ended September 6,1902, from 77 observers, indicate that phthisis pulmonalis, intermittent fever, pneumonia, diphtheria, and measles were more prevalent and cholera infantum, remittent fever, and meningitis were less prevalent than in the preceding week. Meningitis was reported present at 2, whooping cough at 18, measles at 20, diphtheria at 25, smallpox at 26, scarlet fever at 43, enteric fever at 84, and phthisis pulmonalis at 223 places.
