Airbus in the Middle East

November 2017 Airbus in the Middle East The Middle East is one of the fastest growing aviation markets in the world. The airlines of the region are setting the standards for the future of global commercial aviation. Their fleets are some of the youngest in the world and their levels of excellence are the new benchmark for passenger comfort, operating efficiency and network connectivity. This is the world of Airbus in Middle East. With 694 Airbus aircraft in service with every significant airline in the Middle East, Airbus is the chosen partner and leader in aviation innovation, constantly introducing the most efficient passenger airliners to serve the needs of the dynamic region. Signed orders for 1,319 Airbus aircraft bound for Middle Eastern carriers over the next decade, cover the entire spectrum of the company’s products which are set to dominate air travel in, to and from the region. From the superjumbo A380 to the world’s most fuel efficient and modern airliner – the A350 XWB – to the future generation of single-aisle airliner – the A320neo family – Airbus is driving the trajectory of aviation in the region. Middle East air traffic is forecast to double in the next 10 years, according to the Airbus Global Market Forecast (GMF). Airbus research reveals that by the end of 2034 the total passenger fleet of airlines domiciled in the Middle East will grow by 2,365 new passenger aircraft. The Middle East is expected to see annual growth of 6 per cent in air traffic for the next 20 years, well above the global forecast of 4.6 per cent annual growth. Airbus is a proud partner of the biggest airlines in the region. The distinctive livery of global airline brands including Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, Saudia, Air Arabia and others adorns the gleaming tails and fuselages of the latest Airbus aircraft.
