Apache is developed and maintained by an open community of developers under the auspices of the Apache Software Foundation. Released under the Apache License, Apache is free and open-source software. MySQL Database MySQL is an open-source relational database management system (RDBMS). Its name is a combination of "My", the name of co-founder Michael Widenius's daughter, and "SQL", the abbreviation for Structured Query Language. phpMyAdmin is a free and open source administration tool for MySQL and MariaDB. As a portable web application written primarily in PHP, it has become one of the most popular MySQL administration tools, especially for web hosting services. WAMP and MAMP WampServer refers to a free software stack for the Microsoft Windows operating system, created by Romain Bourdon and consisting of Apache Web Server, MySQL database management system and PHP programming language module. MAMP is a solution stack composed of free and open- source and proprietary commercial software used to run dynamic web sites on Mac OS computers and consisting of Apache Web Server, MySQL database management system and PHP programming language module.
