Tickets are on sale now at the University Center ticket office and the Mercantile Record Shop at $3.50, $4 and $4.50. All seats are reserved. The brother-sister duo is famous for their hit singles "Close to You," "We've Only Just Begun," "Superstar" and "Rainy Days and Mondays," as well as three gold albums. At the May 12 show, the twosome will be performing songs from their albums "Close to You," "Carpenters" and "A Song for You," plus a large variety from their vast repertoire of singles. The Carpenters have been awarded the 1970 Grammy for Best Vocal Duo and Best Group and the 1971 Grammy for Best Vocal Duo. They have a five-man back-up unit. ### .
