On the occasion of the celebration of the centenary of the First World War (1914-1918), the Musée de Picardie wish to pay a tribute to the soldiers of the ancient colonies who participated in the conflict. Joseph-Félix Bouchor, who was an official painter of the French army during the WWI, has painted some portraits of those soldiers who left their land to fight in the Somme.
