A sign-up sheet was posted in the North Gym and a large number of people signed up—enough to warrant a club. Several weeks age. Kaplan decided to call his first meeting and proceeded to post notices of this meeting int he hallways. The day of the meeting came and five people showed up. "I posted the notices five or six days in ad- vance of the meeting. I guess people jsut don't bother to look for or read poster," said Kaplan.
