Therefore, we have done further research and testing on this technology. Hereby, we would like to share with you our findings. RECYCLE WITH STONE PAPER Stone paper products can be recycled by converting used paper into pellets. The pellets can then be used in the CO2 Release Comparison production of colored paper. In contrast, traditional Stone paper is environmental in production and disposal. The methods to recycle pulp-paper is a complex process which following shows how we are environmentally friendly in terms of requires water for further bleaching processes resulting in CO2 release for production and disposal. waste water which needs to be treated. The simplicity in recycling Stone paper products reduces resource wastage. Energy Consumption In Production Process Power Used Energy Used RECYCLE WITH PLASTIC Item Product Equivalent (KWH/TP) (x103Kcal/TP) CO2release Conventionally, pulp-paper materials lined with resins which makes it water resistant has complicated its recycling 1 Stone paper 720 1764 676 process, i.e. should it be recycled with paper or plastic? Furthermore, how to separate the pulp-paper from the 2 Pulp paper 780 3549 1344 plastic? In contrast, Stone paper product is 100% pulp free, therefore, we do not need to consider recycling it with pulp 3 Synthetic 710 paper. Instead, given that 20% - 30% of Stone paper paper 1740 668 products is non - toxic resin, we recommend recycling with plastic. During the production process, Stone paper’s energy consumption is only approximately 50% of pulp printing paper’s BREAKDOWN energy consumption. Stone paper products can be broken-down. Experimentations on a Stone paper sample with a thickness Disposal in Incinerator (Equivalent CO2 Release) of 200m showed the paper began to break-down and Temperature crack like an egg shell when exposed to direct sunlight for Item Product Temperature 400-500 C greater than 600 c approximately 6 months. 1 Stone paper 628 980 Stone paper products will not break - down in your home when kept indoors and away from sunlight. There is no doubt that the careful design engineering of the production process and the product keeps the environmental harm to the minimal and this is the ultimate reason why we recycle in the first place! 2/3 News feed: Hung Hing exhibiting in the 16th Beijing Book Fair (3rd–7th September, 2009) The Beijing International Book Fair is now consideredred by many as one of the top four International Book Fairs in the World. Start from paper engineering part 1.1 This process start from paper engineer design the pop-up by sketches and build some rough mock-ups until the mechanics are fully workable. Also at this stage the book needed to be design if it will be printed one or both side because it can somehow effect how to design each component. 1.2 Afterward, the engineer will start working on blank mock-up: the proper mock-up, to make sure that everything is working fine and also creating die-lines and nesting plan at the same time. The blank mock-ups and nesting plan will be send to estimating team, one for sending to illustrator to draw illustration on and one for keep as a reference. 1.3 The illustrator will draw illustration following the guideline from paper engineer. They will draw on the nesting plan and use the blank mock-up as a guide how to draw each piece of artwork together. 1.4 After that the illustrator will send back illustrated nesting plan to the paper engineer. The paper engineer has to do mock-up again, using the illustrated die-lines to see if all the illustration match once it is assembled together. If there are any adjustment on illustration the 1.3 has to be repeated again. If everything works the paper engineer has to prepare the files for printer.
