Hakai contains SH2, RING, zinc-finger and proline-rich domains. Hakai interacts with E-cadherin in a tyrosine phosphorylation-dependent manner, inducing ubiquitination of the E-cadherin complex. Expression of Hakai in epithelial cells disrupts cell-cell contacts and enhances endocytosis of E-cadherin and cell motility. By promoting the endocytosis and dynamic recycling or destruction of E-cadherin complexes, Hakai is able to control epithelial-mesenchymal transitions under physiological and pathological conditions. Uniprot ID: Q75N03 NCBI: NP_079090.2 GeneID: 79872 Host / Isotype: Rabbit / IgG Format: State: Liquid 0.2 µm filtered Ig fraction Purification: Protein A Buffer System: PBS Preservatives: 0.02% sodium azide Stabilizers: 0.1% bovine serum albumin Applications: Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections: The typical starting working dilution is 1:50. Immunoflourescence: The typical starting working dilution is 1:50. Western blot: The typical starting working dilution is 1:50. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. Specificity: This antibody reacts with human Hakai, a c-Cbl-like protein. Species Reactivity: Tested: Human Storage: Store at 2 - 8 °C. Shelf life: one year from despatch. General Readings: 1. Fujita Y, Krause G, Scheffner M, Zechner D, Leddy HE, Behrens J, et al.
