The Goa University’s growth has been stupendous in terms of its infrastructure, Departments, new courses and programmes, the number of affiliated colleges and recognized institutions. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), of MHRD, has ranked Goa University as the 68th ranking institution at all India level in 2018. The Annual Report of the University portrays the wide spectrum of various academic and co-curricular activities at the University and its affiliated colleges. The Editorial Committee has candidly tried to capture the vibrant academic environment that exists in the University Campus highlighting the research projects, research publications, participation in international seminars and workshops, special achievements including awards and honours. The notable contributions made by the faculty members and some of the achievements of the students are also included in the pages that follow. The Annual Report also provides highlights of the activities in the affiliated Institutions. We hope that the Annual Report 2019-20 presents successfully the academic culture of Goa University and its affiliated colleges to its readers. We thank our Vice-Chancellor Prof. Varun Sahni for his constant support and encouragement in bringing out this report. We are thankful to the Heads of the Departments and Principals of affiliated Colleges for providing the committee with the information included in this report.
