It is called Jezebel, as the woman Jezebel in the Bible so well describes the working of this world ruler. 2 Kings 9:22 "What peace, as long as the harlotries of your mother Jezebel and her witchcraft are so many?" Isaiah 47:5 & 7 “5 For you shall no longer be called The Lady of Kingdoms. (Queen of the Kingdoms) 7 And you said, 'I shall be a lady forever,' (Eternal Queen)” Jezebel is an international principality. It usually works with other principalities Isaiah 47:9 “They shall come upon you in their fullness Because of the multitude of your sorceries, For the great abundance of your enchantments. [In spite of your claims to power given you by the assistance of other evil spirits.]” It hides behind hoping not to be seen or discerned. Isaiah 47:10 "For you have trusted in your wickedness; You have said, 'No one sees me'” This world ruler is very much against the prophetic voice of the Lord as the prophets of God will not give into this control so they have to either compromise or be killed by Jezebel. Jezebel will bring in an alternate voice that will seem right, but it is totally under this world ruler’s control. 3 JEZEBEL CAUSES THE FOLLOWING SEEN IN 1 KINGS 18: 1. Destruction of the true prophets. 1 Kings 18:3-4 “For so it was, while Jezebel massacred the prophets of the LORD.” 2. Complacency, double mindedness & silent rebellion. 1 Kings 18:21 “And Elijah came to all the people, and said, "How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him." But the people answered him not a word.” 3. The breaking down of the altar of prayer 1 Kings 18:30 “Then Elijah said to all the people, "Come near to me." So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down [by Jezebel]. [Amplified Bible]” 4. The release of revival rain 1 Kings 18:42-46 “So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees, 43 and said to his servant, "Go up now, look toward the sea." So he went up and looked, and said, "There is nothing." And seven times he said, "Go again." 44 Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, "There is a cloud, as small as a man's hand, rising out of the sea!" So he said, "Go up, say to Ahab, 'Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.' One of the biggest attacks of Jezebel is against the natural and spiritual family unit where it causes the following to take place: Men to be robbed of their authority or to give it up as they feel they are not as spiritual as their wives or the woman. e.g.Deborah and Barak. Judges 4:6-9 “Then she sent and called for Barak the son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali, and said to him, "Has not the LORD God of Israel commanded, 'Go and deploy troops at Mount Tabor; take with you ten thousand men of the sons of Naphtali and of the sons of Zebulun; 4 7 'and against you I will deploy Sisera, the commander of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude at the River Kishon; and I will deliver him into your hand'?" 8 And Barak said to her, "If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go!" 9 So she said, "I will surely go with you; nevertheless there will be no glory for you in the journey you are taking, for the LORD will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman." Witchcraft – Beguiling 3. Sexual Perversion - Keeping sexual sins hidden and thinking ‘No one sees me.’ 4. Compromise - Stubbornness and idolatry 5. Occult CHARACTERISTICS THAT HELP THIS PRINCIPALITY TO FUNCTION: 1. CONFUSION: 1 Corinthians 14:33 “For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.” When there is confusion there can be no clarity or clear prophetic vision which is essential, and it causes great instability. Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish (cast off restraint.)” When we begin to become double minded we can easily be thrown off course and we vacillate. This causes us to become like a yo-yo up one day and down the next.
