The Vice President's family joins him i:I]. his EOB Office. Joining will be Mrs. Ford, l\1ike and Gayle Ford, Jack Ford, Steve Ford, Susan Ford, and Gardiner Britt. 11: 40 a. r:i.. All, less the Vjce President and Mrs. Ford, depart EOB Office and are escorted to the East Roo1n of the 1Nhite House and seated. The escort officer will be Commander Kerr. 11: 45 a . rr1. The Vice President and Mrs. Ford are escorted by Lt. Col. Sardo fi:om the EOB Office to th e Red Room of the White House where they will join Chie,' Justice Burger. ll: Sq a . rn. Chief Justice Burger will depart the Red R o om for the East Room, is announced, and proceeds to his place on the platform. The Vice President ans,vers in the affirrn.ative. 12:03p.m. The Chief Justice a dministers the oath of oftice. 12: 05 p. m. The Chief Justice introduces the President of the United States . Following the introduct::on, the President moves forward to the podium and renders remarks. During the President1 s remarks t.:he Chief Justice and Mrs. Ford will be seated. 12 :15 p. rn. T he President's rernarks tern1inate. He escorts Mrs . Ford from the' E ast Room to the Red Room. ''Hail to the Chief" will be played during the President's exit from the East Roon.1. The Presi dent will meet for approximately five minutes with the Chief Justice and the leadership in the Red Room. Mrs. Ford, Mrs. Burger and the wives of the leadership will rn.ingle outside the Red Room . 12:20 p . m. The leadership meeting in the Red Room breaks j up. The President rejoins J'v1rs. Ford outside the Red Room and proceeds to a position in the entrance to the State Dining Room. 12:21 p . m . The President and lvlrs. Ford receive their guests . The Chief Justice will be the first through the receiving line. 12:40 p. m. After the last guest has passed through the receiving line, the President and Mrs. Ford will enter the State Dining Room and mingle with guests . 1:00 p. m. The President and Mrs .
